Pursuing Your Ideas

Before you begin to read my blog I want you to ask yourself a very important business/life question...

What are you passionate about?

I probably ask myself this question everyday, and I answer it with...I truly want to better myself and the people around me. I want to always be able to provide for my family. In doing this, I must be very determined and passionate at whatever I'm doing. I want to have a job that I love going to. It comes down to honestly wanting to be happy and start enjoying life with my wife and friends.

I constantly lay awake at night thinking about the present and what the future will have in store for my business plans. In my family's eyes I would like to be successful, however, this success does not necessarily mean being very wealthy. I would just like to be stress free, debt free, and knowing that my day Job is no longer considered WORK because I love doing it. If I'm working Mon.-Fri., then Sunday night should feel no different than Friday night. There is nothing wrong with dreaming big because dreams can become a reality. If you're willing to take that first step in becoming your own boss then give it 110%, and never let anyone tell you that you can't do something. Right now there is someone out there, maybe even reading this blog that has the next great idea but is currently afraid to pursue the idea.

Starting a company and becoming your own boss doesn't mean you have to quite your current day job. My business partners and I began our business as a part-time hobby. In the beginning you're going to devote a lot of time and money into your idea and you may not get a lot in return. You can't let this get you down. The first year is always the hardest year to overcome. There are a couple great movie quotes I think about from time to time from "The Shawshank Redemption" that reads..."Get busy living, or get busy dying." & "Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."

Those of you, who know The Big Idea w/ Donny Deutsch on CNBC, have seen the stories of real people following their passion and are now living The American Dream. You’ve heard the crazy ideas that made you say, “Why didn’t I think of that?” and you've seen how the simplest thought “There’s gotta be a better way” can open the doorway to making millions while having fun doing it. How bad do you want to become your own boss? It is the ultimate gut check moment that will make or break you, but you won't know the outcome unless you take that first step.

Feel free to comment on this blog with your answer to my question. Make sure you check out my next blog titled Taking The First Step.
